Make a Tea tray using only hand tools.
Service Description
Make a "Tea tray" or snack board using a variety of hand tools. This design is based on the idea of "showing the hand of the maker" We want to leave tool marks on the board to show the artist's hand. So we will be using hand tools to make a board flat, and then adding fund details like edge rabbets, or even carving out dished areas for a mug, tea cup, or snacks. For this first class, the cost has been reduced and we can expect some learning about the process. You will learn to plane a board flat and then use a hand plane to make the surface textured or smooth. Then we will put accents on it for a more detailed look. This class is a lot about reading grain direction and developing a sense for hand pressure and "flatness".

Cancellation Policy
Course Cancellation Policy: We understand that circumstances can change unexpectedly. If you need to cancel your enrollment in a course, please notify us at least 72 hours prior to the start of the class to receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the class start time are subject to a 10% cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before class starting time are not eligible for a refund. In the event that we have to cancel a course due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative arrangements.
