This beautiful post card exhibits a scanned piece of yakusugi lumber that has over 250 years worth of tree growth in the span of a few inches. The original piece of yakusugi wood is only 4" wide. Imagine a tree growing 4" in radius over 250 years!
 
This piece of wood shown was sustainably purchased from an artisan on the island of Yakushima, Japan that has very specific and strict rules of what trees and lumber can be harvested from the old and new growth forests.

These postcards are made from thick high-quality matte paper, so they serve as a great addition to a gift or just a thoughtful written note to a friend.
